Ronald A. Morris, Deputy Commander, Mobilization OperationsMr. Morris was recently given the position of Deputy Commander, Mobilization Operations at Camp Atterbury.
Mr. Morris enlisted into the Indiana National Guard in February of 1977. He served in the enlisted ranks until graduation from the Indiana Military Academy Officer Candidate School and receiving his commission in June 1982. After serving as a Platoon Leader in both Company G and Company F, 738th Maintenance Battalion, He commanded Company D, 738th Maintenance Battalion. His staff assignments include Battalion S4 Officer; Maintenance Support Officer; Maintenance Officer, Plans & Operations Officer, Maintenance Management Officer, and Branch Chief.
Mr. Morris is a graduate of the Command and General Staff Officer’s Course; Combined Arms Services and Staff School; Ordnance Officer Advanced Course; Ordnance Officer Basic Course and the Infantry Officer Basic Course.
Mr. Morris’s awards and decorations include; the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal with Silver Oak Leaf and one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Silver Hourglass Device, the National Defense Service Medal, the Indiana Commendation Medal, and the Indiana Volunteer Ribbon.. Mr. Morris holds a Bachelors degree in Management from Oakland City University. Mr. Morris holds a Masters degree in Management from Oakland City University and a Masters degree in Leadership from Indiana Tech.
