The Camp Atterbury library is in Building 230. It is open from 0800-1630 Monday through Friday and is closed on weekends and federal holidays. The library offers many items, ranging from books to eight new computers with Common Access Card readers for leisurely usage. Printing is available at a maximum of five pages per day. We do not have a scanner, fax, copier or wireless service at this time. Depending on what patrons are looking for, the library offers a little something for everyone. The books, magazines and DVDs in the library come from many sources, according to Library Tech Specialist Anita Gess, who selects which books are currently out for use from donations the library receives.
Moving to our new location has provided the opportunity for growth. In addition to the “History That Counts” books, two new genres have been added; Professional Military Reading and another section that contains books based on common requests. These books are available to be checked out for a week at a time Also new to the library is a Resource Center containing a small section of Publications, Civil War History, U.S. Army in World War II, and other military books. These books may be enjoyed while relaxing in our sitting area comprised of leather recliners, sofas or if you prefer our study desks. All other books and magazines are free to keep. Playaways (self-contained audio books) are available for Military. These are free to keep at a maximum of two per week. A collection of DVDs are available to check out for free. You may borrow two movies for two nights. I.D. must be presented.
